When ANGELO PO GRANDI CUCINE S.p.A. decided to expand its headquarters in Carpi, near Modena, the company also decided to install a photovoltaic system producing around 4.4 kWp on the skylight over the main stairwell. The installation was therefore limited in size by the area of the skylight. The energy produced is destined entirely for internal consumption.

Given the semi-transparent nature of the panels, the installation serves the dual purpose of generating electrical energy and providing shade for the stairwell. According to the guidelines issued by the Italian electricity agency, the installation is classed as fully integrated and therefore enjoys the full subsidy for the power produced.
